Thinking too much

If you did not know, Benjamin Tay thinks alot when he is not doing anything. I think, wonder (apart from fantasizing) not worrying, more like pondering. When i'm driving alone, i sometimes appreciate how blessed i am ever since i was born 18 years ago. Blessed with a group of awesome friends (church and outside church), great family. I thank God for all the good times.

Of course there were bad ones too, but they were all never extreme that it has changed my life a whole 180 degrees. Whenever i feel like the worse is happening to me, people out there really suffering just put me to shame, leaving me aside to think twice. What about orphans without parents? A broken family? Financial difficulties? Teens out there competing with the standard of living and peer pressure? Kids with handicap issues? What about me? or even some of us out there? I feel like killing myself because my boyfriend dumped me! I feel like killing myself because i did so badly in my exams! All the I FEELS? I have practically known people in such bad shape going through deep shit sharing their problems to me and it just makes me wonder how fortunate i am. Maybe my deep shit hasn't come yet. hmm

I always thought that in every person's life there would bound to be a "deep shit" happening to each individual. For example: close friend, relative or spouse passing away at an early age.

Weird huh? Yes i know. But think again, life is definitely not all about fun and laughter, joy and happiness and if you think that you and your family are going to grow old and die a peaceful death, think again. Call me a sadist, but am i prepared to come home finding out i own be able to see my mom or dad, or even my siblings anymore?

I thought about it, but i could not come up with a conclusion.

I don't know about your parents, but whenever my parents go overseas for a week or two, my dad would always have a chat with me (eldest son) the night before they leave. Showing/telling me who to call for if anything happened (means if DIE lah just in a nicer way) to them. What to do with the property, their wills and all, you know. It scares me sometimes whenever i think about it. What if it really happens?! =0

All i know it should not be something that we need to worry about, more of being prepared for it.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
-Matthew 6:27
